Adobe Park — Castro Valley

This little park with an adjacent art center just off of Redwood Road has a large grassy area, picnic benches, charcoals bbq, a skateboard area, and a soggy bocce ball area (maybe it’s less soggy when it isn’t rainy time).

The playground is not my favorite for my kids. There isn’t a slide. I’d say it’s geared more towards older kids. There’s lots of climbing possibilities, suspended lilypads, climbing pannels, hammocks, and spinning discs. The swing set offers both bucket and standard swings. There’s what looks like should be a sandbox but it’s filled with wood chips.

This park has a cemented loop that has a couple of creative elements (sand x with a rock square in the center ... anyone know if it serves a special purpose? And a neat circular design)

There is a parking lot and unlocked bathrooms!
