Deerview Park— Castro Valley

Deerview Park offers a big playground, grass, and plenty of fun for all.

This park has a big play structure with FIVE slides (straight, two bumpy, a spiral, and a double) and five access points (standard steps and four variations of ladders). There are also added activities found throughout the structure like tic-tac-toe and a steering wheel. With picnic tables and single benches near the playground, there are lots of chances to take a snack break mid-playtime. After some playtime, we walked up the paved path which had parcourse elements along the side as well as squirrels, birds, trees, and giant sprinklers. At the top of the hill, there’s a basketball court. Keep climbing and you’ll get to a little grassy area on the next street over. To get back to the play structure we took the hillside down. Look out for gopher mounds. (we didn’t see any noticeable holes).

No bathrooms. Street parking,

Nearby is the Columbia Recreation Center, which is a part of the Columbia HOA.
