Godfrey Park — Alameda

One of Bay Farm Island’s playgrounds right below the Oakland private small plane landing path is a sweet two for one!

This playground has two play structures. The larger place structure has two slides (one straight and one spiral), steps, monkey bars, suspended lily pads, climbing posts, various ladders, a spinning orb, and a thick woven rope balance bridge. In this same area is a spinning rope tower, standard swings, spinning cups and a pretend giant tree stump ideal for climbing up (there’s a rope ladder for assistance) and hiding under.

The smaller play area has a straight slide, steps, ladders, bucket swings, and a covered playhouse with seats inside.

Near the play areas, there are all-gender bathrooms, basketball courts, covered picnic tables with BBQs, a large grass field and a volleyball court (posts. no net). Across the grassy field is a baseball diamond.

We loved taking play breaks to watch the small planes on approach to Oakland airport.

Street parking.
