King School Park — Berkeley

king school park berkeley

You’ll need to add this gated toddler play area to your list and summer is the perfect time for a visit.

The toddler play area is full of fun elements including a slide, rope wall, sand box with sand table, swings (hard flat standard and bucket) plus lots of added features for stationary play for the littlest of park goers.

This park shares space with the King middle school campus and according to the Berkeley city website the two super-fun super-tall rope climbing structures are not available for public use during school hours. When we visited it was bombarded with middle schoolers on their break but we did get to play after they left.

The structure has a double slide stairs, ladders, a sliding pole and monkey bars.

There is a good size grass area and picnic table area.

According to Berkeley city website, the basketball courts, track, gym, tennis courts and swimming pool, which are all apart of the Middle School, are available to the public when school is not in session. Check website for more details. It also says there are bathrooms however we could not find them.
