McCartney Park — San Leandro

This one was the first park we went to when parks opened again after the shut down.

It’s tucked behind a school on a tiny street in the Broadmoor District in San Leandro.

It’s a tiny little play ground with a swing set (buckets only), two rocking toys, a spinning cup , a kid size picnic bench and a play structure.

The play structure has steps, a rope ladder, a climbing wall, two slides (a side winder and a double), a climbing net, and hammock. Unfortunately, the only way to get to the double slide is by the climbing wall or climbing net.

It’s pretty sunny here in the mornings but nearly full shade in the afternoons. (Now that it’s warm I’ll try to include this info if I know it).

There are no bathrooms and parking is on the street.

The school right behind has a big grassy area with a path around it accessible via a gate on Breed Ave but recently has gated up their play structure.
