Sheffield Village Park — Oakland

sheffield village park oakland

Gated park? Yes please!

This little park in Sheffield Village is great spot. The park has a huge grass field with a baseball diamond and basketball court (with nets). There’s a small picnic table and a little free library. The play structure has steps, two types of ladders, a double slide, plus a tunnel and play house underneath. Next to the play structure is a play area with puzzles and a pretend car on the other side is swing set with bucket, all abilities and standard swings. There is also a small fisher price baby/young toddler play set that I’m assuming was brought here from a family no longer using it. It’s a nice element to include smaller kids. There’s also a tiny basketball hoop that too looks like a no longer used toy.

This park appears to share property with Sheffield Village Recreation Center but signs say it’s been closed since March 2020. The building has a bathroom but it was locked. There’s plenty of street parking but be sure not to block the driveway just to the right of the park. It doesn’t look like the cars move or that it’s actually a driveway since the curb is so high .... but if you block it you’ll get a note telling you not to... or so I’ve heard

I love this little park
