Washington Park — San Mateo

Washington Park in San Mateo was a treasure to find!

Located right where 92 meets 101 in San Mateo in a tricky little neighborhood is Washington Park.

The play structure has four slides (an open spiral, a tunnel spiral, a short double and a short bumpy). There are various ladders and stairs. Between the lower structure and the higher structure is “tricked you monkey bars” (they look like monkey bars but they’re in fact parallel bars). Around the structure is ride on toys and a teeter totter.

The play area also has a little play house and two sets of swings- one with standard swings and one with bucket swings. Around the park there are picnic benches, bbqs, and a variety of floor types—tan bark, soft rubber, and sand.

A gated in full basketball court is available. There is a fence around the park but no latching gate. Lots of big trees and shade.

No bathrooms. Street parking. Entry at intersection of Washington and Queens or Cleveland and Adams.
