Ashland Community Center Park — San Leandro

Ashland Community Center Park is a small place to play and picnic.

This small neighborhood park is infrequently visited but it’s a hidden gem for the kids in the Ashland area. The structure is pretty close to the street and there is no gate, so parents of runners beware! There are two slides (spiral and bumpy), lots of options to get into the structure, swinging monkey bars, and a bridge! The way into the section of the playground with the spiral slide is via a ladder or monkey bars so if you have a smaller child be prepared for lots of lifting.. The swing set has standard swings only. There is plenty of grass and picnic tables for a lunchtime break.

The community center is currently closed, but typically it hosts events for the local senior citizens.

If you GPS your way to this park it will send you to the parking lot on 167th. There is a path to the left of the community center that leads to the other side of the building where the park is. I prefer to park on 168th, although it is permit parking only so just keep an eye out for the parking enforcement

There are no bathrooms
