Creekside Park — El Cerrito
This little park can be added to a full day of exploring The Albany Hill.
After a morning walk in the Albany Hills, this was a perfect play spot. A small park located at the end of a cul de sac and in front of a creek with shady grass, a play structure, a mythical creature mural, a creekside trail, and “glass beach shells” mixed into the sidewalk.
The playground has one spiral slide, steps, a ladder, an inclined climbing ramp, and activities.
We really enjoyed the shade from the large surrounding trees. It was a perfect setup for us to enjoy our snacks we just got at 99 Ranch Market. 99 Ranch is always an adventure in itself for us. The kids love seeing the fish and different fruits plus they love choosing a different snack every time.
After some play and snacks we walked the trail along the creek and back. Before leaving we made sure to sit down on the sidewalk and look at all the pretty “glass beach shells” in the sidewalk.
No bathrooms. Street parking (we parked in the back of 99 Ranch).
There isn’t a bridge connecting the park to the trails of Albany Hill but it is possible to cross via stepping stones to connect the two. We weren’t too adventurous to try this.
