Mount Eden Park — Hayward

The possibilities are endless at this Hayward park

This park has everything you need and more! With a playground, picnic areas, a rose garden, soccer field, basketball court, horse shop pits and more, it really feels like the possibility are endless.

Along with the soccer and basketball fields/courts there are other recreation options including tennis, shuffleboard, baseball and softball.

The playground is fairly large. There are two slides (short straight and tube spiral), steps, ladders, the tunnel/ramp bridge seen at other Hayward parks, a balance beam, a climbing wall, and monkey bars. The play area also has a swing set with standard and bucket swings. The smaller slide is only accessible via a ladder.

This park has so much grass and if you’re lucky on a hot day you’ll be there when the sprinklers are on.

Don’t miss the rose garden and statue in front of the historic house.

There are two small parking lots off of Tennyson but street parking on Darwin gets you closed to the playground. There are bathrooms near the ball fields.
