Fairmont Drive Linear Park — San Leandro
Fairmont Drive Linear Park is the perfect little playground to visit when you’re in the neighborhood.
Just a block from BayFair Mall, this playground is a great way to let the kids get the wiggles out after a shopping trip. The playground has two slides (a sidewinder and a straight), three ladders and steps plus a bench/bar for imaginative play.
The swing set has both buckets and standard swings. There’s a parking lot next to the playground with picnic benches on the other side of the parking lot. More towards E 14th has another parking lot with picnic benches near it. We’ve never gone that far away from the playground and I’ve often seen suspicious activity that way.
The park is right next to a busy road and there are some occasional loud vehicles that drive by. Brother is sensitive to sound so that’s one bummer about this place for us. It does have a fence blocking the playground from the road but no closure for those runner kids. Watch out!
While here we decided to try out a nature color sorting activity I saw on Instagram. It was pretty fun to find the different colors around the park. Totally recommend!
No bathrooms.
