Huber Park — El Cerrito

Woah! Hidden park in the hills/what looks like ruins of El Cerrito. Loved the cement slide, the climbing dome, the trail around the top and THE VIEW!

huber park el cerrito

This multi-level playground has two basketball hoops (but not a full court or half court) and a four-square court, picnic tables and bbqs, a fireplace (not sure if it’s functional), standard swings and bucket swings (but on different levels of the hillside), colorful percussion instruments, and a sandbox. In case you forget, there’s a chance some cardboard will be left behind from past parkgoers but just in case grab a box to help slide ya down without ripping your pants.

The short trail has a nice wooden bridge to cross the what used to be a creek.

There’s a small bathroom and a little “lot” but it doesn’t seem like it’s meant for visitors to use as parking. Street parking on Terrace Drive at Sea View Dr (a bit tight and winding) or for a short walk choose Park Way (which dead ends at the park), or take the foot path from Terrace Drive at the higher end of the park.

This park isn’t ADA friendly unfortunately
