Washington Manor Park — San Leandro
Washington Manor Park offers so much for the family including two playgrounds, tennis courts, basketball courts, softball fields, lots of grass and a paved loop perfect for biking!
This is our go-to for birthday parties, weekend walks, picnics, bike rides, rc airplane flying, and the list goes on. We love this park! There are two play structures that are from two different eras.
The newer play area has lots of fun elements: three slides ( a sidewinder, a bumpy and a “half slide” for the littlest of kiddos), a climbing dome, monkey bars, inclined rock walls, teeter-totter, tire swing, bongos, ladders, steps, suspended lilypads, a bridge, vertical climbing wall, and activities!
The older structure has two slides (long metal and tube), lots of ladders, and monkey bars. A major note on this one ... there are no stairs. Be ready to lift those littles up to the structure if they can’t do ladders. This structure does have a swing set with standard and bucket swings
This park also has some exercise equipment, a softball field, basketball courts, a cement loop perfect for biking, covered picnic tables, tennis courts, and a swim center!
There is a small parking lot on Zelma St, but if that is full (as it usually is because the pool os right there), there are other entrances to the park on residential streets (Crosby St, Crosby Pl, Norton St, Endicott St).
Bathrooms are located near the older playground and the tennis courts.
